Our Reviews
We take pride in our outdoor product reviews, which feature expert scoring and objective testing methods. We purchase all products with our own money and personally test them in various conditions.
We take pride in testing our products. Unlike any other review site, our methods are not copied from any other review site, and our pictures are taken over months of testing.
For example, the Brooks Ghost Max 3 was given to early product reviewers months before its release. We waited until the Ghost Max 3 was released to the public and bought it with our own money to remain completely unbiased during our testing.
When we review a product, we put our maximum effort into each review so you can make the best decision possible. We also provide head-to-head comparisons between hiking gear to further help you choose.
We do not accept free products or sponsored endorsements. Every piece of gear we review—from picking up the newest release-day running shoes to testing heavy-duty hiking packs—is purchased with our own money.
This allows us to put in hours of first-hand trail testing and provide objective, unbiased head-to-head comparisons to help you make the easiest decision possible. Any revenue generated comes strictly from affiliate commissions at no extra cost to you.
Our Founder
Tyler brings over 16 years of experience in the outdoors, having completed numerous courses and earned certifications in Mountaineering, Survival, and more.
As a Mountain Guide and Expert Outdoorsman, he has dedicated his time to nature. Tyler’s extensive knowledge and hands-on experience make him a trusted authority in the world of the Outdoors.
